WHY WE DO IT…
Doug’s Dogs is founded on the principle of ensuring the highest standards of care for all dogs. Doug trained in San Francisco at Pawsitive Tails, learning their 100% positive, ‘paws on approach to dog care’. This approach ensures happier dogs each day.To keep to this ethos and the highest standards, all dog walkers go through a month long training programme; trainers are highly qualified and experienced; groomers have excellent portfolios. Doug and the team attend further training whenever possible, from dog first aid to canine behaviour, passing knowledge to each other and continuously improving what we do.

Dogs change lives
We’ve seen so often the profound, positive impact that dogs have on people. Making you laugh, making you well, saving lives and so much more. We work with dogs to make sure they live their best life, and that their humans enjoy that life to the full.
Don’t force it
We only use positive, force free methods in all of our work. We cannot countenance cruelty to dogs. We believe in enabling dogs to make choices rather than making them do what we want them to do. We train our teams to uphold this approach and many of us are qualified trainers with years of experience helping dogs.
No tolerance of intolerance
We accept all people for whoever they are but cannot support anyone or anything that seeks to exploit, intimidate, abuse, bully, demean other people.
Work hard and be nice to people
We believe in designer, Anthony Burrill’s words, striving to succeed in all ways but never at the expense of civil decency and respect for other people. We will be there on time; we will do what we say; we will always seek to do it better. But we will never take our customers for granted.
We are custodians of the planet
It is incumbent on us to minimise the impact we have on the planet, ensuring that it survives and thrives for many generations of humans and all inhabitants to come.
